At Aceshigh Paintball, your safety is our top priority — and it's also a legal responsibility we take seriously. Because we hire out paintball markers (which are classified as airguns under New Zealand law), we are required to operate under both a Firearms Licence and a Dealer's Licence. As part of these legal obligations, we must not allow anyone to participate in paintball activities if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
This is a strict requirement under New Zealand firearms legislation — not just a safety guideline. Allowing someone to play while impaired would breach the conditions of our licences and put everyone’s safety at risk and our business.
For this reason:
- No alcohol is allowed before or during play.
- Anyone who appears intoxicated or 'under the influence' will not be permitted to participate (field managers discretion).
- Alcohol is not permitted on the premises at any time, including after your session.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
This policy ensures a safe, legal, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
